Create Your Own Custom Clothing Rail
Every family contains that family member who has far too much clothes and doesn't want to throw any out. I suppose you could call them a professional hoarder, although each individual would be sure to tell you that they need to keep their full collection, either out of necessity or for sentimental value.
Putting my hand up here, I am definitely one of those who has too much clothes which are probably past their sell by date. My excuse is that I play a lot of sport, so keeping old jerseys and tracksuit tops is definitely worthwhile, especially for the freezing Winter nights when the wind would take a short cut through you.
Creating Hanging Space For Clothes
A large percentage of our customers seem to have the same problem, as we get a lot of inquiries about our clothing rack solutions, many of which are to take advantage of space in the home. Versatility is the key here, as fittings can provide a solution for clothing racks of all kinds of angles and sizes.
We have 4 free-standing and 2 fixed to the wall kits available, and despite these being popular options, many people prefer to create their own bespoke clothing rail design to suit their needs. This is often due to necessity and as I mention above, to take advantage of space.
Easily Fixed To The Wall And Floor
All clothing rails can be easily fixed to the wall if required using Type 61 Flanges. These fittings contain 4 holes for screws, ensuring the rail will be securely attached. The same fittings can also be used to attach the opposite end of the rail to the ground, or returned into the wall if desired.
Steel Rails For Walk-in Wardrobes
The fixed clothing storage rail(on the right in the above picture) is perfect for an open walk-in wardrobe as it contains a long rail both top and bottom. This fully utilizes all space, makes the clothes very easily seen and is also aesthetically pleasing. It can also be extended to any height and extension kits are available for longer stretches of wall, ensuring that all available space is taken advantage of.
Customised Rails For Home Or Store
The fixed clothing rail-display can also be seen in the above picture. This design allows the clothes to face outwards, with rails extending from the core tube, one straight out at 90° and the other staggered. The staggered section can be rotated at alternative angles like in the picture below, creating 2 separate layers of clothes.
Freestanding Clothes Rails
We have 4 freestanding clothing rail kits available to buy, with the Single Clothing Rail being our most popular. The freestanding options are commonly used in many retail outlets, where they can be placed as a central display and immediately attract the attention of passers-by. The fittings produce a rugged retro look which helps to display the clothes in a unique fashion.
The freestanding kits are becoming more and more popular in the home. There are two main reasons for this:
- The first is, being heavy duty clothes racks, they can withstand a lot of weight, meaning that loads of clothes can be hung together in the one area.
- The second reason is that despite its strength, the rail is not very heavy in weight and can easily be moved to different locations. This is particularly useful for hanging up a bunch of wet clothes to dry(again, my Winter training comes to mind). Unlike many of the lightweight clothes horse options which fold up and buckle under pressure when the weight of the clothes is applied, the freestanding clothing rail can easily resist such pressure.
