1. Driveway Handrail for Steps
This handrail can also be achieved by using the C50 Single Swivel Socket as the fitting that holds the rail to the posts. This can be particularly useful where the pitch of the steps is not known. The C50 works on a swivel point, allowing it to adjust to the required angle. In this case, a 555-8 Top Fix Rail Assembly is used, although this is only available for 48.3mm o/d handrail. The railing is then returned at the landing and fixed into the side of the garage.

3. Safety Barrier at a Bridge
Providing an appropriate handrail in a public area takes on extra significance considering that people in the area may not be aware of the potential hazard. The footpath along this bridge was a real area of concern, so a Kee Klamp handrail provided an obvious solution. This was due to ease of installation, along with it being a strong and long lasting rail.
4. Garden Paths and Walkways
Avid gardeners love to get creative in taking care of their premises. Different levels in the landscape can really be taken advantage of with garden paths dissecting raised surfaces and providing a means of access. Smartly located handrail can not only mean greater safety and security, but also add to the general appearance of the garden. The handrail above contains swivel fittings which make it easy to install on uneven ground. For sloped surfaces, the Angled Base Flange can be used, or the uprights can be bedded into concrete.
5. Front or Back Door Steps Handrail
Steps leading into a house can be quite dangerous, not only to the homeowner but also to those visiting. The problem with being used to the steps is that you may take them for granted and not take the appropriate care. This can often happen when we are in a hurry somewhere. In Winter time especially, steps and landings can be extremely slippery due to such elements as frost and heavy rain. This may not be a big deal to most people, but can be provide much more comfort to those most depending on it, such as people who struggle on their feet. In this case, the customer painted their rail black for aesthetic purposes. This can also take the cold edge off the handrail during colder weather.

This handrail models itself on the SR-567 Offset Stair Handrail Kit, while an adjustment was made to the top of the rail in order to finish it into the pillar. The posts are capped at the top to prevent rainwater building up within the tube, while this is also the case with each end of the handrail itself.
9. Boat Access Handrail
Slippery steps and walkways are among the various dangers associated with being around water. In this case, handrail can take on even greater importance as a slip could lead to a much more serious accident. Space constraints on a steps or ramp can often mean that there will not be enough room for a handrail to be placed directly on to the ground. In the above project, Doug decided to mount his handrail on to the top of a stepped wall which ran alongside his steps. The upright heights were then kept at different lengths to ensure that the rail remained the same distance off the steps at the top and bottom of the system.
11. Combined Wall to Floor Handrail
This back door step had been creating problems until the wall to floor handrail was installed by Martin. Martin was delighted with the simplicity of the rail, noting that it took him less than an hour to finish up the project. The 29-7 30-60° Single Socket Tee is used for this project and ensures that the railing can travel within the fitting between 30 and 60°.
