Simple Handrail Kits For Ramps or Steps
For convenience, we have pre-designed handrail kits available. The kits, as shown in the images below, cover a multitude of scenarios for where a handrail might need to be provided. The required fittings are all included in each individual handrail kit and all that needs to be altered is the required upright heights and handrail length(or just the handrail length when the handrail is being fitted to the wall).
NDA handrail?
There are a number of options available, depending on whether the handrail is being fixed to the wall, free-standing, if it is NDA approved or if it contains a D-return(SR-00D):
SR-567- Topfixed Offset Stair Handrail
Contains two uprights for the top and bottom of a steps. Contains fittings which fit snugly into each other, leaving no breaks in the handrail and thus meeting NDA recommendations.SR-C50C58- Adjustable Wall to Floor Handrail
Consists of a single upright which connects to the handrail and allows it to overlap at the bottom, while the top end of the handrail is connected to the wall.SR-00D- Surface D- Surface Mount Railing
Handrail which features a D-return on either end. This handrail meets the recommendations of the National Disability Authority in that it is smooth and continuous, and is terminated in such a way that clothing cannot get snagged on the ends.SR- 055C58-Terminated Wall to Floor
Like the SR-C50C58, this handrail kit consists of one upright with the other end being attached to the wall. The Type 55 fitting allows for an alternative design, where the handrail ends at the point where is connects to the upright.SR-070- Side Fixed Wall Mounted Handrail
A wall mounted handrail which can also be connected to timber posts if required. Can be used at any angle.SR-160- Topfixed Offset Stair Handrail
As the name suggests, this handrail contains fittings which allow it to be offset, meaning that a hand can run right along the length of the handrail with no breaks.SR-565- Wall Offset- Terminated
Fitted to the wall or to timber posts if required. Unlike the Sr-070, the handrail is terminated at the fittings at each end, meaning the entire length of the handrail is continuous.SR-029- Topfixed Inline Fixed Stair Handrail
Handrail containing two uprights. The handrail runs through the fittings, meaning an overlap at each end.SR-C50- Topfixed Inline Adjustable Stair Handrail
Constructed using the Type C50 fitting, this kit is similar to the SR-029, but has more flexibility.
Simple to Install
All of our handrail kits are simple to install. A few basic tools are all that's required, such as (a) a drill for creating the holes to connect the fittings to the wall and/or ground, (b) a hammer for tapping in the fixing and end caps and (c) a spanner for tightening up the fixing. And of course a simple allen key for tightening up the fittings.
